Accelerate Wales – Supply Chain Champions Programme
Accelerate Wales was an initiative developed in consultation with the Welsh Automotive Forum, focusing on the improvement of the performance of the automotive supply chain. LERC developed a training programme for the participants or ‘champions’.Collaborators involved:

Programme Features
Key features of the programme:
- An emphasis on the principles and tools of lean thinking, as a strategic route to sustained supply chain efficiency & effectiveness
- Focus on the implementation of knowledge & tools in the workplace
- Focus on key personal competencies required by champions to manage change effectively
- Ongoing mentoring support.
The project also included the creation of a website to support the training and other elements of the programme.
